Description | The City of Springfield is seeking qualified contractors to perform stormwater and sanitary main improvements. This project consists of the installation of approximately 2,000 LF of new, 18-inch sanitary main and associated manholes, risers, lateral connections. The sanitary main improvements are located concurrent with new regional detention facility. Project includes clearing and grubbing, sediment and erosion controls, sinkhole remediation/repair, and utility boring for sanitary installation across Chestnut Expressway. Construction of the associated regional detention facility includes excavation and embankment of approximately 30, 000 CY of soil, construction of reinforced concrete box culvert extension and detention basin outlet structure, erosion and sediment controls (including temporary sedimentation basins and temporary stream crossing), and restoration of the stream buffer vegetated riparian area near the existing channel. Contractor will need to comply with Stormwater Pollution Protection Plan (SWPPP) as well as requirements for United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Section 404 permit. Due to the amount of large tree removals, clearing and grubbing of trees can only be completed between October 15 and April 1 and Contractor shall comply with the date restrictions for tree removals. All wages paid for work under this Contract shall comply with requirements of the prevailing wage law of the State of Missouri, Sec 290.210 et seq., R.S. Mo., as amended by the Division of Labor Standards, State of Missouri and regulations promulgated by the Division of Labor.
