Description | As of July 27, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. CR Number: 2086843 This project involves the construction of pedestrian safety improvements in the Village of Lindenhurst. This project is broken into two (2) separate items of work. Item A consists of the installation of 5 curb bulb outs/ extensions with ADA compliant ramp (3 with rain gardens), 1 additional ADA compliant curb ramp, 4 ground mounted pedestrian rectangular rapid flashing beacon with push button assemblies, associated pavement repairs, brick paver and concrete sidewalk replacements, pavement markings and signing, HDPE roadway drainage systems at the bulb out/ extension locations, and miscellaneous utility adjustments along CR 12- Hoffman Avenue and at the intersection of Hoffman Avenue and Wellwood Avenue, as shown on the plans. Item B consists of the installation of 3 ADA compliant curb ramps at the northeast and northwest corners of Wellwood Avenue and Hoffman Avenue and the associated drainage, sidewalk and pavement repair work, traffic signal modifications including signal detection loops/ installing audible pedestrian pushbuttons/ installing new signal heads on the mast arms, and pavement markings including a new east-west crosswalk. Each Proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Village of Lindenhurst in the amount of Five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid.
