Description | **As of November , 2022, the project was not awarded because it is over budget. The Project includes the following Work: The Universal Access Improvements and Upgrades will include but is not limited to, clearing and construction of a new trailer parking area, gravel drive, restroom building improvement, boardwalk improvements, fishing deck improvements, lighting upgrades, and the addition of a nonmotorized watercraft launch/pull-out, construction of new concrete walkways. State of Michigan DNR Trust Fund grant funding is being used for the project. All relevant State and Federal requirements apply. Contractor and all sub-contractors must comply with all requirements of 1976 PA 453 (Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act), the 1976PA 220 (Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act), and Executive Directive 2019-09, as amended. Prevailing wage rates do not apply for this project For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Article 6 of the General Conditions, as may be modified by the Supplementary Conditions, sets forth Owner's requirements as to performance and payment bonds, other required bonds (if any), and insurance. When the Successful Bidder delivers the executed Agreement to Owner, it must be accompanied by required bonds and insurance documentation A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5 percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Such Bid bond will be issued in the form included in the Bidding Documents. All access to the Site other than during a regularly scheduled Site visit must be coordinated through the following Owner or Engineer contact for visiting the Site: Dallas Wirtz, PLA, Gosling Czubak, Phone: 231.946.9191. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner also reserves the right to waive all minor Bid informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work. |
