Sand Replenishment and Grading for Jamestown Beach Event Park

The work described represents the Scope of Work as delineated on the documents and includes furnish, delivery, install, grade and all labor, materials, equipment, appurtenances and services to provide Sand Replenishment Grading for Jamestown Beach Event Park: Jamestown Beach Event Park is located at 2205 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185. The work described below represents the "Scope of Work" as delineated on the documents and includes furnish, delivery, install, grade and all labor, materials, equipment, appurtenances and services to provide Sand Replenishment & Grading for Jamestown Beach Event Park: o Jamestown Beach Event Park is located at 2205 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185 o Contractor is responsible for the purchase and delivery of the required Class "A" or White natural masonry sand. o The owner shall designate the areas on the beach that will receive the sand nourishment. The contractor shall provide oversite and supervision of the placement of the sand on the beach and fine grading the sand to blend into existing beach contours. The owner may adjust the total amount of sand nourishment to be installed under this contract. The owner reserves the right to reject any material or workmanship that does not meet specifications. o Class A Sand, fine to coarse, poorly graded sand, light brown/orange in color or white, natural masonry sand. o The owner reserves the right to reject any material or workmanship that does not meet specifications. o Contractor shall, without additional expense to James City County, be responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses and permits required to complete work under this contract, and for complying with any federal, state, and municipal laws, codes, and regulations applicable to the performance of the work. Work is to be completed prior to April 1 of each year of the contract except for possible emergency replenishment during the winter months. Work may be done between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Excluding any holidays that James City County is closed.
