| Description | The following are considered household hazardous waste under this scope: 1. Paint and paint thinner (oil based and latex) 2. Oven cleaners, drain cleaners 3. Solvents and degreasers 4. Furniture polishes and waxes, furniture strippers and finishing products 5. Swimming pool chemicals 6. Cleaners: Including rug and upholstery, bathroom cleaners, all purpose cleaners 7. Used motor oil 8. Antifreeze, gasoline, hydraulic and brake fluid 9. Pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and insecticides 10.Batteries 11.Fluorescent light tubes 12.Propane Cylinders 13.Aerosols 14.Flammables 15.Combustibles 16.Acid and Base Waste 17.Oxidizers 18.Unknowns The following items are not included as household hazardous waste and shall not be collected by the successful proposer 1. Radioactive materials 2. Infectious or biological waste 3. Explosives/shock sensitive materials, ammunition 4. PCB’s The proposal shall provide a cost for handling “unknowns”. This listing must include in detail the cost for identification, sorting, packaging and loading these types of materials. Also included in this listing will be the cost for any and or all Chemist, Technicians, per diem, PPE, mobilization and demobilization |
