Airport Terminal Flooring Replacement Project Phase I

This project includes the replacement of floor covering in the Pensacola International Airport Terminal first floor selected areas and second floor mezzanine corridor. On the first floor of the terminal, the scope of work consists of removal of the existing carpeting and rubber base in the waiting areas in the airline ticketing area, behind the rental car service desks and respective offices, the baggage claim carousels, and a side vending room. On the second floor of the terminal, the mezzanine corridor to meeting rooms and Airport Administration offices, the scope of work consists of removing existing carpeting and rubber base. Where any existing flooring is removed, treat subfloor to include floor leveling, crack suppression membrane where needed, and include replacing all existing building expansion joint covers within the defined scope of work. In the ticketing area of the terminal, install new carpet planks with a defined pattern to be installed with new 4” rubber base. Behind the rental car service desks of the terminal, new carpet planks are to be installed with new 4” rubber base. In the Rental Car Offices of the terminal, install new rubber tiles with 4” rubber base. In the Baggage Claim area, install new carpet planks on the luggage carrousels leaving the maintenance access panels easily accessible and new carpet and rubber base in the side vending room. Designated areas in baggage claim area with terrazzo flooring to have 4” or 6” rubber base replaced.
