Description | Civil, mechanical, structural, building, HVAC, electrical, instrumentation and control, and/or appurtenant work at the following facilities at Village Creek Water Reclamation Facility o Plant 001: Fuel Island, Screen Chamber, Grit Removal System, Pre-Aeration Basins, Primary Clarifiers, Primary Pumping Station (PPS), new PPS Electrical Building, Screw Lift Pump Station (PS) No. 1, Perimeter Drainage PS, Stage 2 Aeration Basins, Aeration Blower Building, Stage 2 Final Settling Tanks, Filter Building, Chlorine Contact Chamber, RAS/WAS PS, Thickened Sludge PS, Bar Screen/ Comminutor Basin, and Plant Service Water yard piping o Plant 002: Portal No. 1, Influent PS, Surge Basins (including Junction Box No. 2), Influent Structure, Aeration Basins, Final Clarifier No. 8, Filters (including Filter Operations Building, Filter Blower Building, and Backwash PS), Ultraviolet Disinfection, RAS/WAS PS, and Sludge Blender, Sludge Thickeners, and Thickened Sludge PS o Plant 001 Solids Handling: "New" Digester Area Switchgear Building (Old Boiler Building), Elutriation PS, Dewatering Building, Sludge Drying Beds, High-Pressure Gas Compressors, and Digester Gas Sphere o Plant-Wide: Relocation, replacement, and provision of pole-mounted lighting fixtures; pressure washing of surfaces; removal of paint (including abatement of lead-based paint) and application of weatherproofing coatings; door and window replacement, inspection, and repair; and miscellaneous site improvements work at the previously listed facilities and other facilities located at Plant 001, Plant 002, and Plant 001 Solids Handling The foregoing description shall not be construed as a complete description of all work required. Engineers estimate of probable construction cost is $27,220,000 to $34,060,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Work to be done under this Contract and in accordance with these Specifications and Drawings consists of furnishing all equipment, superintendence, labor, skill, materials, and all other items necessary for the construction of the Village Creek Water Reclamation Facility Reliability and Biological Improvements - Phase 3 including, but not limited to, all civil, mechanical, structural, building, electrical, instrumentation and control (I&C), and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) work, and all appurtenant work, complete in place, tested, and ready for full operation, including temporary facilities as required, all in conformance with the Contract Documents and as directed by the Engineer. The Project site (site of the Work) is at the Village Creek Water Reclamation Facility located at 1440 Pleasant Hill Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35224. The Contract Time for this Project is six hundred ninety (690) consecutive calendar days from the effective date of the written Notice to Proceed to achieve Substantial Completion and seven hundred fifty (750) consecutive calendar days from the effective date of the written Notice to Proceed to achieve Final Acceptance Engineer's estimate of probable construction cost is $40,000,000 to $45,000,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
