Description

The Town of Kingston Springs is seeking proposals related paving repairs on Harpeth View Trail in Kingston Springs, Tennessee. New sidewalks with curb and gutter were added to a portion of this road and patching along the east side of the road between the existing road surface and new guttering is needed (see map of area included). A full resurfacing of Harpeth View Trail will be conducted in approximately 24-months and this patching is a fix in this area until the entire roadway can be resurfaced. o Pavement patch work done in trench area on approximately 4,100 feet along the east side of Harpeth View Trail from the intersection with East Kingston Springs Road (SR249) to Cedar Court (see general project area map attached). o Removal of any current crushed stone in trench as needed to repair roadway. o Add binder to the current trench area at a depth to meet the top lip of new guttering. o Install patching in such a manner that stormwater is directed from the road to the new guttering system as designed. o Paving of two driveway aprons (see included images) approximately 200 square foot each. o Contractor will furnish all labor, equipment, and materials. o Contractor is responsible for all traffic control in the area during project until completion. Submittals in response to this RFP shall include the following: o Summary of the applicant's experience in similar scopes of work. o Fee proposal including any breakdown of labor (hourly, job, etc.). The Town's staff will review all submitted proposals and selection of a recommended proposal will be based on the following factors: o Experience in similar work. o Availability to perform requested work. o The fee proposal. The selection criteria are intended to allow the Town to select the applicant that submits the best overall proposal, not just the lowest cost proposal. To be considered, proposals must be received . All proposals should have the words ''RFP Harpeth View Trail Paving Repair'' on the front of the envelope or in the subject line of emailed proposals. Proposals will not be opened publicly. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
