Expressway Sjta Grassland Conservation Management Area Project

A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The SJTA Grassland Conservation Management Area Project consists of clearing existing trees, vegetation, and other features from the vacant site of a former horse farm in Hamilton Township, to establish a viable habitat for the upland sandpiper (Bartramia longicauda State Endangered) and the grasshopper sparrow (Ammodramus savannarum State Threatened). Major work items include but are not limited to: Clearing trees and vegetation within the project limits, mowing, tilling, and seeding to establish target species grass and forb cover, and constructing post and wire fencing around the site perimeter. Bid Documents will be made available through Bid Express on WEDNESDAY, MAY 10, 2023 after 1:00 PM. A Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the TOTAL BID PRICE but not to exceed $20,000.00, is required to accompany all bid submissions. In order to bid this project, the bidder shall be pre-qualified under at least one (1) of the following NJDOT Class codes, NJDPMC Trade Codes, or any one of the respective sub codes at the time of submission: NJDOT Class Code 1A, Clearing NJDOT Class Code 1C, Earthwork NJDOT Class Code 5, Heavy Highway NJDOT Class Code 6, Landscape NJDOT Class Code 9I, Asbestos Removal NJDPMC Trade Code C092, Asbestos Removal/Treatment NJDOT Class Code 9S, Subsurface Investigation and Test Boring NJDPMC Trade Code C057, Landscape NJDOT Class Code 13, Fencing NJDPMC Trade Code C022, Fencing NJDPMC Trade Code C115, Underground Storage Tanks/Closure The Authority, in accordance with applicable law, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and also to waive any minor informality or non-material exceptions in any bid or bids so received.
