Description | The owner has determined a prequalified list of general contractors. Albany Technical College (ATC), a public community college based in Albany, GA is part of the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) and provides education services for a seven-county service area in southwest Georgia (Baker, Calhoun, Clay, Dougherty, Lee, Randolph, & Terrell). ATC intends to create a new Auto Collision & Diesel Demonstration Center on their main campus. This project will include the construction of the new facility. The project will be a new single story structure of 21,026 sf, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, storage, print/sewing labs, and shops for the Auto Collision and Diesel program. The construction of the building will be a mix of pre-engineered shop spaces and a conventionally framed space housing the classrooms, offices, etc. The Auto Collision shop will include 6 shop bays, 2 prep booths, 2 paint booths and an outdoor covered detailing area. The Diesel shop will include 6 shops bays, and an outdoor covered area. Within the shop spaces, this project will include the installation of automotive lifts, paint booths, prep booths, mixing room, overhead crane, air compressor, and a regenerative exhaust system. In addition to the building, this project includes a new service yard and fencing, 9 parking spots, new landscaping, new site utilities, dumpster enclosure, and a reconfiguration/expansion of an existing detention pond. The Project construction cost is estimated to be in the range of $7,000,000. The duration to reach material completion of the project is estimated as 270 days from the date specified in the proceed order. |
