Sewer System Rehabilitation Drake Avenue and Hudson Park Siphon Chambers

First Site: Drake Avenue Siphon Chamber and both the marina and restaurant share the same address: 290 Drake Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10805. Second Site Hudson Park Siphon Chambers in Hudson Park and Beach, 1 Hudson Park Rd, New Rochelle, NY 10805 (1.1 miles). The Work involves the rehabilitation of two existing siphon chambers owned and operated by Westchester County Department of Environmental Facilities (DEF), located in the city of New Rochelle, NY. The siphon chambers screen wastewater from the County’s New Rochelle sanitary sewer district upstream of the New Rochelle wastewater treatment plant. Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, replacing two manually cleaned bar racks with two mechanically cleaned bar screens and replacing two sluice gates with new gates at both the Drake Avenue Siphon Chamber and Hudson Park Siphon Chamber. The Work also includes replacing the existing top slabs at each chamber with a new slab to accommodate the new mechanical bar screens and installing odor control equipment at each location. Removal of the superstructure at the Hudson Park Siphon Chamber is required. New pre-fabricated superstructures are required at each chamber as well. New instrumentation and controls equipment is to be installed at both chambers and new electrical service is required for the Drake Avenue Siphon Chamber.
