Description | **As of March 28, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Sealed proposals will be received at the: DIVISION OF MINERAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES 2045 MORSE ROAD BUILDING H COLUMBUS, OHIO 43229-6693 for furnishing the mate- rials and performing the labor for the execution and construction of: HAYDENVILLE TUNNEL HOCKING COUNTY, OHIO PROJECT NUMBER HC-Gr-06 in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, DIVISION OF MINERAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT, COLUMBUS, OHIO. PROPOSALS WILL BE OPENED IN THE SECOND FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM OF 2045 (BUILDING H-2) OF THE FOUNTAIN SQUARE OFFICES OF THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES. The United States Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement is supplying 100% of the funds for this project. The construction completion date for this project is AUGUST 31, 2023. THE ESTIMATE FOR THIS PROJECT AS DETERMINED BY THE DIVISION OF MINERAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT IS $63,152.00. It is the intent of the DMRM to commence the pre-bid meeting at the designated time. Prior to commencement of the meeting, an attendance sign-in form shall be distributed among the contractors present. This form will be collected by DMRM staff when the pre-bid meeting begins. Only those contractors signed in prior to collection of the form who remain in attendance through the discussion of the plans and detailed specifications shall be deemed present for the purpose of de- termining eligibility for bid submission acceptance. Participation in the site viewing subsequent to the completion of the discussion of the detailed specifications will not be required in establishing attendance. NO PLANS OR SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE PRE-BID MEETING. Each proposal must be accompanied by a BID GUARANTY, meeting the requirements of Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. CONTRACTORS ARE ADVISED THAT EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNI- TY CONDITIONS ARE APPLICABLE TO THIS PROPOSAL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS 153.59 AND 125.111 OF THE OHIO REVISED CODE. THIS PROJECT IS SUBJECT TO A 5% EDGE PARTICIPA- TION GOAL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF O.R.C. SECTION 123.152 AND O.A.C. 123:2-16-08. DAVIS BACON WAGE RATES ARE APPLI- CABLE TO THIS CONTRACT, THE CONTRACTOR AGREES TO COMPLY WITH ALL PROVISIONS OF THE DAVIS BACON ACT AS AMENDED (40 US.S.C 3141-3148). Logan Daily - 680241 2-2,9 CONTRACTORS ARE FURTHER ADVISED THAT, IF AWARDED THE CONTRACT, BOTH THE CONTRACTOR AND ITS SUBCONTRACTOR(S) SHALL PERFORM NO SERVICES REQUESTED UNDER THIS CONTRACT OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES IN ACCORDANCE WITH EXECUTIVE ORDER 2019-12D. Sealed proposals shall be delivered to the address given at the top of Notice To Bidders. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Director of Natural Resources reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept the bid which embraces such combination alternate proposals as may promote the best interest of the STATE. Haydenville tunnel is collapsing and poses a danger to those who enter it. Tunnel is approximately 950 feet long and is located on land owned by Wayne National Forest. It is partially open on the west end and fully open on east end. Roof of tunnel has collapsed near east end causing a large subsidence to form above it on ground surface. Another smaller subsidence has formed nearby. The Haydenville Tunnel project is located in Hocking County, Green Township, directly across from 17003 Haydenville Road. Site access shall be from an unnamed access road along Howard Road. Major work items in this project include, but are not limited to: Remove concrete blocks from west tunnel entry and install a bat gate. Establish a route to other end of tunnel within work limits. Install PUF and close subsidences with native soil. Install bat gate on east end of tunnel. Seed and mulch site |
