Description | Nixon Road Phase 2 Grading, Drainage, Base, and Paving Bids received after the designated time will not be considered. Bids shall be clearly marked and sealed. The major items of work consist of: 1. Grading Complete: Clearing and Grubbing, Grading 2. Subgrade and Base Preparation to include Graded Aggregate Base 3. Asphalt Placement: Recycled Asphalt Concrete Superpave, 19MM, 12.5 MM 4. Drainage: Storm-drain pipes and storm drainage structures 5. Temporary and Permanent Erosion Control 6. Temporary and Permanent Traffic Control 7. Roadside Treatments: Ditching, Vegetation Establishment Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in the best interest of the County. Work is as specified in the Bid Document and is to be done in accordance with current GDOT standards and specifications. The Instruction to Bidders, form of Bid, form of Contract, Drawings, forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and other contract documents are available for review at the Coweta County Public Works office located at 70 Selt Road, Newnan Georgia, 30263 (770-683-7623). No bid will be accepted from a bidder who does not meet the pre-qualification requirements outlined in paragraph B.01. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond prepared on an accepted form, duly executed by the bidder, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. Owner reserves the right to waive any formality or informality or to reject any or all bids, to evaluate bids, and to accept any bid which in its opinion may be for the best interest of Owner. Owner has the right to add to and delete from the contract once it has been awarded. Award, if award is made, will be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The successful bidder for this contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and labor and material payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
