Boiler Replacement Clinton County Correctional Facility

HVAC contractor to install certain heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment, but are not to be interpreted to contain certain basic system installation knowledge essential for a complete and quality installation. The contractor is to furnish labor, materials and equipment required to completely install each system indicated on the plans and as here within specified. The contractor is to carefully examine the site, plans and specifications and include labor and equipment necessary to perform, but not necessarily limited to, the following work: 1. Demolition of the existing natural gas fired hot water boiler, pumps, limited piping, vents, expansion tank, oil piping, etc. As indicated on the drawings unless the owner wishes to retain an item all demolished items are to be properly disposed of. 2. Furnish and install two (2) new, high efficiency, natural gas fired hot water heating boiler, pumps, piping, expansion tank, air separator, valving, insulation, vents, controls, etc. And as indicated on the drawings. 3. Furnish and install new two-way temperature control valves. 4. Rebalance hot water flow to all new terminal heating equipment circuits to gpm flow noted on the drawings. Balancing to be done by a certified balancing contractor to be employed as a sub-contractor to the HVAC contractor. 5. Furnish and install new natural gas piping for new gas fired boilers. 6. Extend existing building controls system to new boiler and pump system. See drawing H-4 for more information. All other miscellaneous work shown on the drawings and as herein specified. Note: "installation" means the furnishing of equipment, materials and labor required for complete systems. The prime HVAC contractor is to provide the following items; (please note this list may not be all inclusive). Payment of all fees required by code enforcement agencies, local municipalities, etc. Exterior wall openings for boiler vents. The prime HVAC contractor is to provide the following items either by employing a certified electrician or by contracting an electrical sub-contractor:
