PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall remove the existing built-up roof system down to the structural deck, including the removal of the gravel stop. The Contractor shall also install a new roof to include a fully adhered 90-mil EPDM membrane roof over fully adhered tapered insulation (1/8” per foot minimum) to provide positive drainage to the gutters. EPDM is to extend a minimum of 8” up the vertical face of the concrete dividing wall, which traverses the spine of the structure. Provide drip edge and counter flashing as required. It is expected that the existing copper counter-flashing, gutters, and downspouts can be reused. The Lightening Protection System on the rooftop of each building shall be removed as needed to facilitate roofing activities, re installed, and re certified.
