Westwood - Hanlon Elementary School Project - General Bid

As of June 2023, this project is 60% complete and scheduled to be fully complete by August 2024. Town of Westwood, c/o its Permanent Building Committee, invites Bids from GENERAL & TRADE Contractors. Replacement Paul Hanlon Elementary School. The project is a new-two story, 113,141 GSF elementary school on an existing school campus. The proposed school is located in the woodland behind the existing school. Ledge removal is required to level the building site. The new school is designed for 560 students. The proposed project is located at 790 Gay Street, Westwood, MA and consists of the construction of a new elementary school building for grades K-5 for 560 students, parking lots, access roads and walkways, a soccer field, a little league baseball field, outdoor classroom, and a playground to support the new school building. The project also includes the demolition of the existing Hanlon Elementary School. The project is planned to be a Certified Green School through LEED certification process, and is on track to achieve a minimum of Silver certification and to be Net Zero Energy ready.
