| Description | Provide geotechnical recommendations for the design and construction of the proposed reconstruction and water line replacements. The scope of this investigation consisted of the following tasks: 1 drilling and sampling a total of six (6) soil borings (three (3) 15-foot borings along Archley Drive and three (3) 10-foot borings along Burkhart Road) to depths ranging from 10 feet to 15 feet; 2 grouting all boreholes with non-shrink cement bentonite grout after completion of the drilling and water level measurements; 3 performing appropriate laboratory tests on selected samples to evaluate the physical properties and strength characteristics of the subsurface soils; 4 performing engineering analyses to develop geotechnical recommendations for bedding and backfill for the proposed water line replacements, water level control; and recommendations for open cut and trenchless construction; and subgrade stabilization and pavement thickness recommendation; and 5 preparing a geotechnical investigation report including field and laboratory data and engineering recommendations as outlined above. | ||||||||
