Attendance at the Pre-Bid Meeting is mandatory for bidders and a bidder's failure to attend will be grounds for its bid being deemed non-responsive. Contact the Construction Manager at jgreen@shielsexton.com or (317) 339-5248 for more information regarding the Pre)Bid Meeting. Owner will accept bids on the Project until 1:00PM (local Indianapolis time) on the 22nd day of June, 2022, at Shiel Sexton's Jobsite Office located at the CSX Building, 200 S Pennsylvania, Indianapolis, Indiana 46225. Bids shall be executed and submitted using the bid forms included in the Bidding Documents. Each bidder shall submit two complete paper copies of its bid and an electronic copy of its bid (on a USB flash drive or other memory device that is P.C. compatible) in a sealed envelope marked to the attention of Tom Boyle, Director of Operations, and shall include on the lower left hand corner of the envelope, in bold letters, the notation "SEALED BID - Gainbridge Fieldhouse Capital Expenditures Phase 3 - Masonry Facade Repairs". All bids timely received will be opened publicly and will be read aloud ("Bid Opening") and interested parties are invited to attend the Bid Opening. Bids received after the submittal deadline will not be considered and will be returned unopened. Bids shall remain valid for at least sixty (60) days following the Bid Opening ("Bid Period"). If the Owner awards a contract during the Bid Period, the selected bidder shall 221764543.v1 promptly execute the contract and, thereafter, proceed in accordance with and subject to the requirements of the Bidding Documents. Such bid security shall be subject to forfeiture in the event the contract is awarded to a bidder and that bidder fails to execute the contract or otherwise fails to proceed in accordance with its bid and the requirement of the Bidding Documents. All bids not accompanied by an appropriate Bid Bond or Certified Check may be rejected as nonresponsive. If a contract is awarded it will be to the lowest "responsible and responsive" bidder in accordance with Ind. Code 36-1-12. The selected bidder will enter into a contract directly with the Owner.
