Description

The Public Works Department of Mesa County is requesting Statements of Qualifications from Consultants interested in performing the necessary tasks develop detailed construction documents Mesa County has approximately 40 miles of Storm Sewer, excluding culvert, and is requesting a consultant to complete an investigative inspection of each of the enclosed storm sewer pipes integrity. Each of the pipes will need to be inspected, analyzed, given a recommendation of repairs, a cost estimate for repairs and overall prioritization for all the storm sewer pipes located within Mesa County. Each of the storm pipes will need to be cleaned and video inspected. During the inspection the chosen contractor will note any repairs that need to be completed, condition of pipe, diameter/length of pipe, and material of pipe. Additionally the contractor will notate if any additional pipes or cross connections are found, so these can be investigated at a later time. The contractor at the end will provide a report prioritizing the repairs and approximate cost, along with files of the inspection data compatible with importing the data into the County s GIS system. The successful offeror must be prepared to perform all services required by the County as outlined in Section II and III of the Request for Qualifications. The submittals will be evaluated by Mesa County Public Works staff. It is the County s goal to select a consultant who will provide the highest quality of customer service, design and project management. The award of the contract will be based on the evaluation criteria outlined in Section IV of the Request for Qualifications. Mesa County reserves the right to accept the proposals or any portion of the proposals by a competent firm, as determined by the statement of qualification and the proposals, which is deemed to be in the best interest of the County. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any portion of the proposals or the entire proposals without disclosing the reason therefore. Mesa County, in an effort to expedite the bidding process, will be using the web page as a method of getting all pertinent information out on Transportation Capital Projects. All necessary documents including bids sets, specifications, addendum and any addition information will be placed on the web page. These documents will be under the specific project name. It shall be the responsibility of all firms and contractors to check the web page and download the appropriate documents including all addendums. No notice will be sent informing contractor s and firms that there is new information or addendums. This is the responsibility of the individual firms and/or contractor s.
