Description

Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) the services described herein. Contractor shall provide all required labor, equipment, transportation, and materials (including drums, packing materials and labels) necessary to package, label, transport, and properly dispose of or recycle CDPH hazardous waste. A hazardous waste is any substance or material regulated due to listing or identification as defined in 40 CFR, Part 261, Subparts B, C and D, or it meets the definition of a waste as defined in Section 66261.2 Title 22 and Title 26 CCR; it is not excluded from classification as a waste or hazardous waste under Health and Safety Code Sections 25143.2(b) or 125143.2(d), Title 22 Section 66261.4, Title 26 Section 66261.4, CCR, and it meets any of the criteria listed in Section 66261.3, Title 22, CCR and Section 66261.3, Title 26, CCR. Sources include waste generated as a result of routine maintenance and daily operations at the generators facility, any hazardous waste generated as a result of emergency response cleanups and corrective action orders issued by the appropriate regulatory agency, and operations or activities that generate any retrograde chemicals, radioactive waste as well as waste materials containing asbestos in a form or of a type subject to hazardous waste management and disposal laws.
