Description

SW Tamara Ave and Deemar Way, both intersecting with Jean Road, Lake Oswego, Oregon. Bids received after this time will not be considered. Bids can be delivered to the District office at 17661 Pilkington Rd, Lake Oswego, Oregon 97035 by the due date and time. All bids received prior to the due date and time will be publicly opened and read on the due date and time in the location bids are received. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the District office located at 17661 Pilkington Rd, Lake Oswego at 2:00 PM local time on April 28, 2022. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the space may be limited at a time during bid opening and will be on a first arriving basis. If there are remaining contractors that wish to remain on-site during bid opening, they can wait outside the District office building and District staff will compile the bid results and deliver hard copies to the contractors. The project consists of two schedules of work; the District reserves the right to award one or both of the schedules. The total engineers estimate for the project is in the range of $250,000 to $285,000. Schedule A of the project generally consists of water main replacement within Tamara Avenue from the intersection with Jean Road south, and includes the following: 1. Construction of approximately 386 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron watermain. 2. Construction of approximately 98 linear feet of 4-inch ductile iron watermain. 3. Replacement of approximately 1 water services. 4. Reconnection of approximately 7 water service lines. 5. Replacement of approximately 1 fire hydrant assemblies. Schedule B of the project generally consists of water main replacement within Deemar Way from the intersection with Jean Road north, and includes the following: 1. Construction of approximately 336 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron watermain. 2. Replacement of approximately 3 water services. 3. Reconnection of approximately 5 water service lines. 4. Replacement of approximately 1 fire hydrant assemblies. Plans may be examined at Rivergrove Water District Office, 17661 Pilkington Road, Lake Oswego, Oregon 97035. Notification of Addenda issuance will be issued via e-mail to the addresses listed on the Plan Holders List. Potential bidders are responsible for ensuring contact information is registered correctly and that email updates are being received and not being sent to spam folders. It is in the best interest of potential bidders to check the website periodically to ensure all updates are received. The District is not responsible for failure of bidders to receive notifications of changes or corrections made by the District and posted as stated above. No bid will be received or considered unless the bid contains a statement by the bidder, as part of their bid, that the provisions of ORS 279C.840 or 40 U.S.C. 276a shall be complied with, a statement as to resident bidder status. Contractor licensing under ORS 468A.720 for asbestos abatement is a requirement of this project. Prior to submission of its bid, the bidder shall be registered with the Oregon Construction Contractor's Board, and thereafter comply with the requirements of ORS 701.005 to 701.137. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish a statutory public works bond in the amount of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.00). Evidence of workers' compensation insurance will be required before the work shall commence. The District will investigate and determine the qualifications of the apparent low bidder prior to awarding the contract. The District reserves the right to reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject all bids, if it is in the public interest to do so. The District reserves the right to waive informalities and to award a contract to the qualified lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
