Description

The School District of Escambia County is soliciting sealed, written proposals to establish an Agreement for the monitoring of the removal of debris resulting from catastrophic events such as hurricanes and tornadoes. This agreement will be invoked after the declaration of a state of emergency by the Superintendent or State and/or Federal authorities. Services shall include monitoring of the collection and removal of debris from District property. All services provided shall be in accordance with established Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and/or Florida Emergency Management regulations or criteria unless otherwise directed. The Request for Proposal (RFP) may be awarded to multiple Responders. Utilization of disaster debris monitoring services will be initiated when the declared emergency event exceeds the District's capacity and resources to respond and manage. The awarded Responder(s) will be activated in the order of the ranking and if multiple Responders are needed to perform the requested services. All work shall be coordinated with the Director of Maintenance or designee. The Agreement will be effective from June 1, 2023 through May 31, 2024 with four (4) additional one-year renewal options upon mutual consent and School Board approval subject to the availability of lawfully appropriated funds. All pricing proposed herein shall be firm throughout the first year of the Agreement. Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation.
