Repair/Paint Schoolhouse Museum

It is the intent of this solicitation to secure a qualified contractor to replace the wood, seal, and paint the exterior of the Schoolhouse building at the Heritage Park and Cultural Center. The Camp Walton Schoolhouse Museum is approximately 59 ft x 25 ft, with a front and rear porch, and has been painted numerous times. Work is routine maintenance of the building. Though it is a historic building, no special rules apply regarding this maintenance work. Contractor to replace all outside siding, soffit, trim, overhead ceiling on front porch and rear porch. Front porch, rear porch hand rails, steps and flashing. Leave existing porch, flooring, windows and doors. Replace facia metal flashing and facia board. Replace the freeze board. Remove existing steeple and replace with new material. Repair school bell operational device to be able to operate from School House. Replace moisture barrier with new house wrap/moisture barrier product. Replace outside siding with 105 Drop D 6” Kiln Dried and Treated (KDAT) material. Seal entire building. Caulk all wood butt joints. Paint with a Satin Exterior Enamel. Beyer Exterior Ultra or comparable.
