Description

Construction renovation services for the newly acquired Orange County building, to serve as the new Orange County Winter Park Courthouse location. The Orange County Procurement Division operates under the leadership of Carrie Mathes, MPA, NIGP-CPP, CFCM, CPPO, CPPB as Procurement Division Manager and Chief Procurement Official in accordance with the Orange County Ordinance. The Estimated Cost for this project is $12,000,000.00 The project consists of a Florida Building Code Level 3 Renovation of an existing, single-story 33,915 square foot building and related site improvements as defined in the contract documents. Work consists of site and civil upgrades, landscape, interior demolition of the existing architectural and MEP systems and the new interior buildout of all architectural, limited structural upgrades, and MEP systems to accommodate the following including but not limited to public entry and security screening, (2) court rooms, holding cell, restrooms, public waiting areas, jury assembly and deliberation rooms, judges' chambers, clerk of courts public waiting area, clerk of courts public service counter and administrative support areas. Site and civil work includes but is not limited to demolition work related to new work, new water service line, asphalt paving milling and resurfacing, parking lot restriping, selective regrading, selective fence replacement, new public plaza, pedestrian walkways to accommodate accessibility requirements and related hardscaping, site signage and landscaping. Interior architectural scope includes but is not limited to demolition related to new work, new interior wall construction, interior floor, wall and ceiling finishes; courtroom and public counter millwork, interior storefront systems, signage. Architectural work includes a new secure parking compound structure and dumpster enclosure. Building envelope improvements include but are not limited to demolition work related to new work, window replacement, roofing system replacement, exterior tilt wall painting and sealant joint replacement, and public entry modification. Building mechanical systems include but are not limited to the demolition and replacement of the following systems: New HVAC system consisting of DX package roof top units, variable air volume terminals, supply and return ductwork systems, toilet exhaust system, mini-split systems serving IT spaces, and Building Automation System. New Plumbing system to include new water service entry, water heaters, potable water piping, sanitary piping, vent piping and toilet fixtures; New Fire Protection system modifications utilizing the existing service entry and replacement of sprinkler piping; New Electrical service entry including generator, switchboard, electrical power and lighting; New Fire Alarm new voice and data systems; New Access Control system; New Audio Visual system.
