Description | The lowest responsive bidder must demonstrate successful completion of projects of similar size and scope to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: Pumping septic tanks and floor drain holding tanks. Location: Various locations in the counties of Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, Somerset and Waldo Maine. Outline of Work: Provide all labor, equipment and applicable tools for pumping septic tanks and floor drain holding tanks, as well as transport and disposal of collected material to MaineDOT specified sites, and other incidental work. The basis of award will be Section 1 combined with chosen Alternate 1 (Section 2), or Section 1 combined with chosen Alternate 2 (Section 3). Questions received after 12:00 noon of Friday prior to bid date will not be answered. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. TTY users call Maine Relay 711. There will be no bid bond, performance bond or payment bond required. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department. This Contract 1s subject to all applicable State Laws. The right is hereby reserved to the MaineDOT to reject any or all bids. Electronic bids do not have to be accompanied by paper bids. Please note: The Department will accept a facsimile of the bid bond; however, the original bid bond must then be received at the MDOT Contract Section within 72 hours of the bid opening.
