Description | As of October 12, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The project will be constructed under one general construction contract, one plumbing contract, and one electrical construction contract, with separate base bid sheets to track the funding grant. The project consists of work including, but not limited to: Work includes, but is not limited to, demolition and removal of existing building concurrent with construction of new prefabricated metal building structure on new reinforced concrete slab and footings. Interior carpentry and finish work. New concrete generator pad and pipe bollards. Piping removal and installation of new Schedule 80 PVC piping, pressure relief valve, flow meter, LP gas piping, and appurtenances. New underground service, temporary electrical service, installation of owner-supplied generator and transfer switches. New SCADA system to provide necessary alarms, dial-out, and remote monitor capabilities. Variable frequency drives (VFDs) and well controls for three existing wells. New water treatment building electrical work including; lighting, heating, hot water heater, and general electrical work. Late bids by mail, courier or in person will be refused. The Town of Petersburgh will not accept any bid or proposal which is not delivered to the Town by the date and time indicated. All bids must be made on the official Bid Form or an exact copy by reproduction thereof and enclosed in a sealed envelope. No bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent of the maximum bid price, as determined by adding the base bid and all alternatives, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price. The Town strongly encourages all minority and woman-owned businesses and Section 3 businesses to participate in the bidding process. A 20% minority/women business enterprise (MWBE) goal exists for the project and all contractors will be required to comply with EFC Mandatory State Revolving Fund Terms and Conditions, including Prevailing and Davis-Bacon wage rates as described in the Bid Specification. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or conditional bids. |
