Warren Hall Steam Condensate Line Replacement

The Berkeley campus of the University of California requests that interested firms submit written statements of qualifications to provide engineering services for the Warren Hall steam condensate line replacement project. The UC Berkeley Central Campus steam system provides steam for heating, domestic hot water, humidification, sterilizers (in laboratories), kitchen equipment, and absorption chillers to various buildings throughout central Campus. This aging system has a number of known deficiencies that will be addressed in a phased repair and replacement construction program. Inspect the existing steam condensate line between steam manholes 05A and 06 and document the existing conditions. Inspection may involve a video scope, thermal imaging equipment and some selected demolition to get access to steam and condensate piping.
