Design - Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BNIA) - Passenger Boarding Bridge Replacement Program

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) owner and operator of the Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BNIA), invites interested Consulting Teams to submit a technical proposal from firms that have the requisite, demonstrable competence, and experience in architectural and engineering services for the design, construction monitoring, and design support services during construction for the planned passenger bridges replacement for the Project entitled "BNIA - PASSENGER BOARDING BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROGRAM". Qualified firms both singly or in teams must have the requisite, demonstrated competence and experience in and a thorough knowledge of the required architectural and engineering services required for the Project. Qualified firms must demonstrate service competency expertise in program development level functions through project design, procurement, construction administration, and commissioning. The project work requires full architectural and engineering services including but not limited to : civil site plan development, utility design and coordination (power, communications, internet), architectural design, (graphics and renderings/models/photography, interior/exterior finishes), structural design, electrical (power distribution, command control and access control design), and mechanical design (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing, fire protection, PBB equipment). This project will prepare design documents and execute construction for replacing 14 Passenger Boarding Bridges, including GPU ground power units (GPUs) and pre-conditioned air (PCAs). Funding and programing replacement will be evaluated during design. Construction will be in accordance with the contract drawings and managed to mitigate interruptions to BNIA's operations.
