Description | The Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) isseeking professional construction management services, including inspection and material testing services for the new Lynchburg Ferry Operations Building. The consulting firm will work with HCTRA Staff and the awarded contractor. In many instances, the construction manager will act as HCTRAs owner-representative in meetings, conferences, presentations, and report to HCTRA as required. The capability of firms submitting proposals shall include construction management services that cover the full spectrum of a project from pre-construction, construction inspection and materials testing, commissioning, and project close out. HCTRA is seeking to secure the professional services of qualified and experienced firms to provide Construction Management, Inspections and Material Testing services for the construction of the new Lynchburg Ferry Operations Building located 1001 Independence Parkway N in Baytown, Harris County,Texas 77520. The project involves construction of maintenance shop, visitor parking, staff parking, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, new septic system, proposed water tank, and associated site improvements for 14,400 square foot (sf) gross building and 12,600 sf net building, for 69-person occupancy. The new operations and maintenance building will provide increased efficiency and safety of vehicular and pedestrian circulation, operational views of roadways and shipping channels, incorporate storm resiliency of the building elevations and structure, accommodate secure employee parking, and be Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified from the US Green Building Council. Construction of this project is partially funded by Ferry Boat Program (FBP) Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) through an Advanced Funding Agreement with Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The proposed facilities will provide an improved customer experience while ensuring facilities are fully functional and safe for staff and public. HCTRA strives to maintain its physical infrastructure in superior condition for the public. Project cancelled by owner. |
