Description | L - 93,321 All bidders are encouraged to visit the site prior to preparation of bid. Submission of the bid is acknowledgement that the Bidder is aware of and accepting of existing conditions prior to the installation of the improvements. The Village of North Aurora will receive sealed bids for the Chestnut Street, Locust Street, & Spruce Street Water Main & Street Improvement Project. All questions must be submitted in writing 72 hours in advance of the bid opening by contacting Brandon Tonarelli btonarelli@northaurora.org via email with the subject line Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond from a company with an A-1 best rating, or a cashiers check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid and made payable to the Village of North Aurora, 25 East State Street, North Aurora, Illinois, 60542. The Village of North Aurora reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities in the bids received. All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the Project shall apply to the contract throughout including the (820 ILCS 130/0.01) Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. Ch. 48, Sects 39s-1-12) and the (30 ILCS 570/) Illinois Preference Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. Ch. 48, Sects. 2201- 2207) and an Apprenticeship Training Program certified by the USDOL. This contracting opportunity has been made possible, in part, by the Kane County Board, through its Office of Community Reinvestment, with federal funds provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Section 3 Businesses and Minority/Women-Owned Businesses are encouraged to bid on this project. Federal prevailing wage requirements apply to this contract. |
