Description

Fencing and Security Upgrades, Lufkin District Location- 3161 US-59 Livingston, TX 77351 BID GUARANTY/BID BOND: $28,000.00 The contract for this work will not be awarded to any contractor, firm or subcontractor currently debarred from bidding on Texas Department of Transportation projects. Usual rights reserved. Bidders are cautioned to study carefully the Standard Conditions documents for compliance with these requirements. The right is reserved by the Texas Transportation Commission to reject any and all proposals. Contractor must bid all Bid Items as called for on the plans and in the specifications. All bids received will be retained by the Texas Department of Transportation and will not be returned to bidders. Conditional bids will not be considered. The Texas Department of Transportation hereby notifies all bidders that the applicable State Laws prohibiting discriminatory practices in bidding and awarding this work will be strictly adhered to. Written questions must be sent to: SSD ContractLettings@txdot.gov Subject Line: RFI: Project ID # 11-380421377 RFI QUESTIONS DUE: FEBRUARY 28, 2023 Contract time for the work to be completed in full will be calendar days. Completion- 365 calendar days The work of the project is to furnish, install, and program access control. This includes card readers, electrified locksets, door position sensors, gate releases, control panels, intercoms, access control cabling, surge protection, card reader pedestals, and CCTV. The system must be compatible and interoperable with TXDOT's latest version Software House CCURE as a standard. Work of the project also includes demolition of existing chain link fencing/gates, and rebuilding as indicated on the drawings. Clear trees, bushes, and vines as indicated on the drawings, 2' of each side of fence line where fence line is on TXDOT property. When fence line borders another property, line/fence line clearing to be coordinated with TXDOT project manager. A minimum of 2' clearing is required on TXDOT side. Stump grinding of trees, bushes, and vines shall be performed. Furnish and install 9 gauge, 6' chain link fence with top rail and 3 strand barb wire and/or associated components as indicated on the drawings. Furnish and install cantilever gates, v-track gates, gate operators with safeties, safety loops and associated safety devices to comply with UL-325 standards as indicated on the drawings. Install TXDOT furnished pedestals and pedestal bases. Furnish and install concrete pedestal base foundations, gate access control panels, power supplies, card readers, cabling, intercoms, camera, gate position sensors and required surge protection as indicated on the drawings and specifications. Contractor is responsible to verify all field conditions and dimensions for bidding and installation. Work at entrances shall be performed in a manor or time that will not impede vehicle ingress or egress at entrance. Perimeter fence line and building security must be maintained and property line secured at all times. Furnish and provide a utility scan at each site. Refer to the specification requirements. Comply with local, state, and federal ordinances and laws.
