**As of April 11, 2023 bids received were over the budget and project is currently on hold. As of this time it is unknown if and when project will rebid or not. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT. Construct a new detention facility and adjacent two-story Sheriff's Office building. REQUIRED LICENSE. Building Construction ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE. $20,000,000- $22,000,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. BID SECURITY. Bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and any alternatives and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana, and payable to the Owner. ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS. Bids shall only be accepted from contractors who are properly licensed under LA R.S. 37. No bid may be withdrawn after the bid opening except as allowed under the provisions of LA R.S. 38 and the Bid Documents. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause in accordance with LA R.S. 38.
