Description

For furnishing all necessary superintendence, labor, materials, and equipment for the construction of: Rehabilitation of Lift Station - North West Corner of Highway 365 and Kotz Road Bids are for construction of a new sanitary sewer lift station, stand by generator and demolition ofthe existing lift station. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent ofthe greatest amount bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to The City ofNome may be submitted in lieu ofthe Bid Bond Funding for this project is covered under Section 3 ofthe Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. All eligible bidders must comply with Section 3 requirement in regard to meeting or exceeding the required objectives for both hiring and subcontracting. In accordance with these objectives, contractors are required to direct their newly created employment and/or subcontracting opportunities to Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment Eire not discriminated against because ofrace, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. The Citv ofNome reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City ofNome for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bids and investigating the bidders qualifications prior to the contract award. MWBEs are strongly encouraged to participate in this bid opportunity.
