RFP - Mechanical Plumbing Engineer Services - Capri By The Sea

The Capri by the Sea Homeowners Association Board of Directors here forth Capri HOA BOD has appointed a plumbing committee to recommend a qualified Mechanical Plumbing service to evaluate the condition of the existing plumbing systems, to prepare and administer project management services during any approved replacement program. Capri by the Sea is located in Pacific Beach San Diego. This 140 Unit, 13 story mid-rise has two connecting twin buildings built in the 1960s. The Capris intent is to retain a consulting engineering firm with the qualification and staff resources necessary to perform comprehensive assessments of existing systems, provide replacement system recommendations, provide project management services at request, and assist in development of a replacement program. All repairs/replacements shall have a fifty (50) expectant life cycle and utilize the best less intrusive practices. The successful firm will provide services for Capri as outlined in Section II. Scope of Work. The proposer shall have California P.E. Mechanical (Plumbing) License with three (3) years experience. Have performed replacement services as mechanical plumbing consultant on3- 5 mid-rise existing building thirty (30) years old or greater. Worked with the City of San Diego building and safety permitting Mechanical Plumbing replacement on three (3) mid-rise existing building thirty (30) years old or greater. Provide previous consulting recommendations utilizing ling/relining, cast iron waist and copper/plastic supply lines. Has performed consulting services on mid-rise building with asbestos. All work performed must have 50-year life cycle of service. The proposer shall demonstrate substantial experience in undertaking and completing the type of work required.
