RFP/Q - Solar Municipal Feasibility

Through this Request for Information (RFI) the City of Lowell (City) intends to seek input regarding developing solar energy assets and supplementary systems to help reduce the City's energy cost, reduce energy use, reduce emissions, and/or create a revenue source from development of such assets. The City is particularly interested in: High level portfolio analysis of solar feasibility on various municipal facilities/assets Preferred configurations for solar feasibility (e.g. ground mount, roof mount, canopy) Ancillary assets to enhance solar benefits (e.g. storage, EV charging integration, microgrid potential) General considerations for future potential solicitations. The City is seeking information from qualified, interested parties (individually called a "Respondent" and collectively called "Respondents") in the business of identifying, assessing, planning, designing, financing, installing, owning, operating, and maintaining photovoltaic (PV) systems and ancillary assets that may enhance PV performance. Please note that this RFI is not a Request for Proposals (RFP) or a Request for Qualifications (RFQ); therefore, the City is not accepting proposals or qualifications at this time. The City may issue such solicitations in the future. Responding to this RFI does not provide any advantage or disadvantage to potential applicants if the City chooses to issue an RFP or RFQ later. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
