MAPS 4 - Family Justice Center - City Of Oklahoma

MAPS 4 will sustain the transformational effects of Palomar by building a new, permanent, $38 million facility for the family justice center that was first created by the Oklahoma City Police Department. Palomar assists victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, human trafficking, and supports children exposed to trauma. Palomar’s current facility is temporary. The larger, permanent facility would ensure that Palomar’s work continues and thrives. As of September 16, 2021, the Oklahoma City’s City Council approved the MAPS 4 Implementation Plan on September 14, 2021. MAPS 4 is not a bond program. It is a cash program. The schedule which determines the timing of each of the 16 areas of projects has not been developed. The owner is in the process of hiring professionals to help with that process. Bidding for designers, contractors has not been established. The program is an 8-year collection period therefore this project may not begin for eight years.
