Description

The Contractor shall provide all necessary supervision, labor, tools, equipment, test equipment, material/parts, personal protective equipment, transportation and other incidentals required to perform the Services to Remove and Replace Three (3) Chilled Water Pumps with Motors work as defined in this Performance Work Statement. Performance Requirements 4.1. A Contracting Officer Representative (COR) shall be assigned to this procurement. Scheduling of work performance shall be arranged through the designated COR assigned. 4.2. The Contractor shall Remove Three (3) Chilled Water Pumps with Motors located in Building 44 and Replace with Three (3) New Chilled Water Pumps with Motors that shall be provided by the Government. 4.3. The Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring all services and parts provided are in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined herein, conforms to the Manufacturer s Equipment Specifications, and to the requirements stated within the PWS. 4.4. The Contractor shall create a New Foundation as required to support the Three (3) New Chilled Water Pumps and Motors. 4.5. The Contractor shall adapt and weld New Flanges, if required, to the existing 10-inch piping in order to connect the New Pumps and Motors to the facility system. 4.6. The Contractor shall secure all Pumps and Motors to the New Foundation, tie down all hardware, align Pumps, connect existing Electrical Power to New Motors in order to make the system fully functional. 4.7. The Contractor shall conduct an initial start-up and run all the Pumps and Motors as required to check for proper balance and performance (pressure) to ensure all Pumps and Motors are fully operational after installation has been completed. 4.8. The Contractor shall ensure all tools and equipment are secured at all times. 4.8.1. Tools and equipment shall be removed from open areas or stored in secured location during breaks, lunch, and/or at the end of each work day. 4.8.2. All debris shall be removed from the facility upon completion of service each day or placed in designated dumpsters as instructed by the assigned COR. 4.9. The Contractor shall ensure proper signage and/or blockage of service area is provided and clearly visible to ensure patient/employee safety is adhered to. 5.0. Performance Location and Hours 5.1. Primary place of performance is the Bruce W. Carter, Miami VA Medical Center, 1201 NW 16th Street, Miami, Florida, 33125.
