Description

The selected consultant will provided project management and inspection of all work on the Gloucester County Video Detection Upgrade Project. The video upgrade project consist of a contract to install new traffic signal camera systems at 112 intersection locations throughout the County. The work consists of the removal of the existing cameras mounted on the traffic signal mast arms, wiring and the controller processors in the traffic signal controller cabinets. New cameras at the same locations, new wiring and interface panels to the controller will be installed. Video cameras shall be a video sensor camera, communications interface panel and wiring installation for detecting vehicles and bicycles, traffic flow data, full-motion video for real time traffic control and management systems. The video camera system shall conform to the product Econolite Autoscope HD Vision specification, Autoscope Comm Manager and 3 Wire 18AWG cable as per the manufacturer’s recommendation. The contractor will be required to remove the current video detection system including the existing cabling under the items clearing site. The new system shall be installed by the contractor to include all cabling from the new camera installation to the traffic control cabinet/comm manager, including 12 foot of slack at every structure, included in the item video camera. Mounting brackets are inclusive of the item. The Econolite Autoscope Vision system shall be inclusive of other items of work required to be fully operational to perform video detection and work with the traffic signal controller systems. The contractor shall include in the item the cost to have the manufacturer’s representative to be on location to turn on the system of each location for verify operation, proper focus and area of detection coverage, maintenance of the required timing and operation schedule, continuity of any signal coordination to switch to the new video detection system. Upon project completion from the formal County acceptance of the work, a three (3) year manufacturer warranty in addition to the project’s maintenance bond shall be provided to the County under the item video camera.
