Ridgeland-Claude Dean Airport Runway 18-36 Program - Phases 3 and 4

Bid Schedule No.1- Runway 18-36 Program: Phase 3A. This bid schedule completes the new 4200' x 75' Runway 18-36 and parallel taxiway system. Major work items include approximately: 28,000 cubic yards of onsite excavation, 1,710 tons of SC-403 Type B asphalt pavement, 7,000 square yards of 6” thick P-209 crushed aggregate base course, 530 linear feet of storm drainage pipe and structures, and 2,200 linear feet of chain link fence for Runway 36 safety overrun. Related work includes pavement demolition, markings, topsoil, grassing, erosion control, and electrical items such as runway edge lights, taxiway edge lights, REIL units, and signage. Bid Schedule No. 2 - Runway 18-36 Program: Phase 3B. This bid schedule includes construction of the remainder of Taxiway B, construction of widened Taxilane B1, new Taxilane B2, reconstructed Taxilane B3, and new Taxiway C. Major work items include approximately: 8,500 square yards of asphalt pavement removal, 7.5 acres of clearing and grubbing, 5,000 cubic yards of onsite excavation, 1,140 tons of SC-403 Type B asphalt pavement, 4,600 square yards of P-209 crushed aggregate base course, and 450 linear feet of storm drainage pipe and structures. Related work includes markings, topsoil, grassing, erosion control, and electrical items such as taxiway edge lights and signage. Bid Schedule No. 3 - Hangar Storm Drainage Improvements. Work shall be performed concurrently with Bid Schedule No. 1. Work includes construction of approximately 300 linear feet of new storm drainage inlets and pipes and roughly 350 square yards of regrading at existing hangars on the south side of the airport. Work also includes two small areas of pavement repairs, 10 tons of SC-403 asphalt pavement and 25 square yards of 6” thick SC-501 concrete pavement, in the existing hangar complex. Bid Schedule No.4 - T-Hangar Taxilane Apron Reconstruction. This work includes reconstruction of approximately 1,110 square yards of asphalt pavement adjacent to the T-Hangar near Grays Highway. Bid Schedule No. 5 - Terminal Aircraft Apron. This project generally consists of construction of a 202’ x 420’ wide apron with connector taxilane to Taxiway A. Major work items include: onsite excavation, drainage structure modification, 10,400 square yards of 6” thick P-209 crushed aggregate base course, 2,300 tons of SC-403 Type B asphalt pavement, taxiway edge lights, apron flood lighting, and reflective pavement markings. New apron will include tiedowns for parking 13 aircraft. Other related work includes topsoil, grassing, and erosion control. Bid Schedule No. 6 - Terminal Access Road, Parking and Utilities. This project consists of construction of a terminal public access roadway and parking lot for a future terminal building at the Airport. This bid schedule covers the construction of a new two-lane access road connecting to Grays Highway and ending at the new terminal parking lot. Major Work items in the construction of a 32-space parking lot include: onsite excavation, new drainage structures and pipes, 1,200 linear feet of curb and gutter, 5,000 square yards of 6” thick crushed aggregate base course, 2,100 square feet of concrete sidewalk, 960 tons of SC-403 Type B asphalt pavement, 2 automatic sliding gates with operators, installation of new water line extension, new sanitary sewer pump station, force main, and a 8-inch gravity sewer system. Other related work includes erosion control, marking, and area lighting for the parking lot.
