2020 Roadway Paving and Reconstruction Project Phase I

Concrete, roadway paving / reconstruction and utility improvements to Church Street, Heims Lane and Smullen Street located within the Borough of Sayreville. The work involved with these improvements includes the maintenance and protection of traffic; installation of approximately 395 lineal feet +/- of various sizes and classes of RCP storm sewer pipe reaches; construction of approximately 14 +/- new storm sewer inlet / manhole structures of various types, reconstruction of existing storm sewer inlet / manhole structures; removal and disposal of existing storm sewer pipe reaches and structures; extending existing roof leader drains to new curb; extending existing sump pump drain to new storm sewer structure; installation of approximately 200 lineal feet +/- of 6" diameter cement lined DIP Class 52 water main, connection to existing water main; furnishing / installation of 6" inline insertion valve to existing water main including all appurtenances; installation of new gate valve and fire hydrant assembly; replacement / relocation of existing fire hydrant including connection to existing pipe runout and all appurtenances; furnishing / installation of approximately 5 +/- new water services / curb boxes including connections to existing water services and new water line; abandonment of existing water services; removal / replacement of approximately 60 +/- of existing water service curb boxes; removal / replacement of approximately 6 +/- of existing deteriorated sanitary sewer manhole frames and covers; resetting of existing utility manhole castings and water main / hydrant valve boxes; removal of approximately 3,000 lineal feet +/- of various types of existing concrete curbs; removal of approximately 13,500 square feet +/- of various types of concrete sidewalks, driveways and/or aprons; construction of approximately 4,200 lineal feet +/- of new standard Borough concrete curb, approximately 10,000 square feet +/- of new standard Borough concrete sidewalk; approximately 175 square feet +/- of new standard County concrete sidewalk and approximately 3,500 square feet +/- of new standard Borough reinforced concrete driveways and aprons; furnishing / installation of cast-in-place handicapped sidewalk ramp delineation; restoration of hot mix asphalt and stone driveways; roadway milling of approximately 450 square yards +/- of existing asphalt pavement; cutting / removal of approximately 7,500 square yards +/- of existing roadway asphalt pavement; the installation of dense graded aggregate base course, if and where ordered; installation of approximately 2,700 tons +/- of hot mix asphalt base course material; resurfacing the entire roadways with approximately 850 tons +/- of hot mix asphalt surface course material; application of approximately 2,000 lineal feet +/- of traffic pavement stripes / markings (4" wide lines); application of fire hydrant pavement markings (symbols); furnishing / installation of topsoil and sod; right-of-way / property restoration; and all other preparation, restoration and associated work.
