Description | Appomattox County is soliciting bids from qualified vendors for paving a portion of the Promise Land Convenience Center. An add-option to pave a portion of the Spout Spring Convenience Center is also included The County reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any and all bids, and cancel this solicitation for any reason. Promise Land Convenience Center- Remove approximately 20ft x 90ft of existing slurry at entrance gate. Remove existing stone to reduce elevation by approximately 4 inches. Grade and compact to ensure final asphalt surface layer is even with surrounding grades. Pave approximately 850 sq. yds of the Convenience Center site with four (4)inches of BM-25.0A and two (2) inches of SM-12.5A, Back fill edges of asphalt with existing stone Spout Spring Convenience Center-a. Back fill edges of asphalt with existing stone Scope of Work - Appomattox Community Park, Upper Soccer Field Contractor will: a. Shape and compact existing base to accommodate a parking lot with approximately twenty-nine (29) 10 ft spaces, two (2) of which will be handicap- accessible spaces with 2% or less side-to-side slope. b. Pave an approximately 1,280 sq. yd. area with SM-9.5A asphalt, two (2) inches thick. c. Back fill edges of asphalt with existing stone as needed d. Stripe all parking spaces, handicap-access aisles, and necessary traffic controls such as directional arrows |
