Description

The HVAC units shall: 2.1.1 Be AIRSYS HVAC Units equivalent to the current Bard Units to be replaced (believed to be Models WA602-A05EP5XXJ with the heater package EHWA05-A05 based on the faceplates shown for each existing unit in Exhibit A) and appropriate for use in dispatch tower equipment shelters in a southern Michigan climate. 2.1.2 Self-contained units encapsulating the cooling and heating systems. 2.1.3 Redundant units operating in a Lead / Lag configuration and controlled by a common Controller. 2.1.4 Utilize R 410a refrigerant for the cooling system. 2.1.5 Provide appropriate cooling and heating utilizing a single unit. 2.1.6 Provide humidity control within the shelter. 2.1.7 Provide an economizer mode to utilize outside air when economical or during times of a high temperature due to a cooling system failure. 2.1.8 Fit within the same wall openings as the existing Bard HVAC units, once removed, without any modification to the shelter structure unless otherwise noted in the Contractor’s proposal. 2.1.9 Have a minimum five-year parts and labor warranty on the compressor and sealed refrigeration system, and a one-year parts and labor warranty on all other parts. The Controller and TCU 800 for these HVAC units shall: 2.1.10 Provide Lead / Lag for sharing of wear and sharing of cooling or heating loads. 2.1.11 Provide SNMP monitoring functions using a standard Ethernet connection for remote monitoring and configuration of the system. The MIBs shall be provide for the SNMP messages. 2.1.12 Have software to permit remote monitoring, programming and operation of the Controller. 2.1.13 The minimum remote monitoring and remote controls shall include: 2.1.13.1 High temperature alarming 2.1.13.2 Low temperature alarming 2.1.13.3 Inside ambient Temperature 2.1.13.4 Outside ambient temperature 2.1.13.5 Independent on / off control of each HVAC unit 2.1.13.6 Power failure & automatic resetting upon power restoration 2.1.13.7 Fire Alarm shutdown and remote override through SNMP 2.1.13.8 Current operating status of the HVAC units 2.1.13.9 Controller failure 2.1.13.10 Remote programming of operational parameters 2.1.14 Provide emergency opening of the Economizer vents in the event of a high temperature due to failures or inability to cool the shelter. This function shall either be done automatically by the Controller or remotely controlled using the SNMP interface. 2.1.15 Have the option to be powered by the -48vdc power system in the shelter to assist in restoration of a failure or outage.
