HVAC and Switchgear Renovation at Green Holly Elementary

This Project is generally comprised of, but not limited to, the following: 1. Replacement and renovation of the HVAC systems and Switchgear in the “A” Building, which entails a total square footage of roughly 46,450 square feet. 2. Architectural and Roofing work will be done as necessary in support of the primary renovation effort. 3. Heating System – the hydronic distribution system and pumps need to be upgraded to variable flow. Oil tank, pumps, boilers and heating pumps need to be replaced and upgraded with direct digital controls. Replacement of the hydronic piping system may be a part of this project. 4. Air Conditioning – All equipment is to be replaced including distribution systems. Automatic temperature control systems to be replaced. 5. A fire suppression/wet pipe sprinkler system may be a part of this project. 6. Electrical – The main switchboard is to be replaced. Fire alarm system to be replaced. 7. Roofing – The existing roofing system will require patching as the new rooftop equipment and penetrations are installed. The existing roof is a gravel surfaced, 4-ply asphalt built-up roofing membrane over flat and tapered insulation. Modifications to, or installation of additional electrical and/or mechanical appurtenances at locations where existing mechanical curbs will be modified and conduit penetration will be rerouted or reflashed. 8. Major work is intended to occur during the school’s unoccupied summer months. 9. Construction is anticipated to begin by March 2021. 10. Substantial Completion is anticipated by August 2021. 11. The overall cost of construction of the Project is estimated to be in the range of $5,000,000.
