Description

Project will rebid. This project is being let using a new single prime bidding and contracting process. DFD will publicly2 bid the applicable mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP) divisions of work first. Within2 5 days of the MEP bid opening, DFD will identify a lowest, qualified, responsible, certified bidder in each2 applicable MEP division of work. These successful MEP bids must be included in all general prime contractor2 bids received. No later than 5 days after DFD identifies the successful MEP bids, DFD will publicly open general prime contractor bids. General prime contractor bids that do not include the successful MEP3 bids will be rejected. The state will enter into a single contract with the lowest, qualified, responsible,3 certified general prime contractor and this general prime contractor will enter into subcontracts with the successful MEP bidders. If a project does not include any mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or fire protection divisions of work, DFD will bid one bid package for all work to general prime contractors. In general the work consists of construction of a 2,800 sq ft two story building addition to the west. The addition structure is brick and block exterior bearing walls with wood structural roof framing. Interior spaces include office workspace, an elevator, family meeting rooms, waiting room, and an overlook area. The overlook has a canted two story glass curtain wall system. Interior work includes drywall partitions and interior finishes throughout. Project also includes casework and a single use toilet room. A new enclosure entry space of curtainwall to the east for visitors and reception. Systems include new HVAC system to accommodate the addition and interior renovations, addition of a building fire alarm system. Electrical, Data, and plumbing modifications to accommodate the building addition and interior renovations. Site work includes new sidewalks, rework of potion of asphalt drive, lower level canopy structure, grave locator canopy structure at entry, and a new condensing unit pad. Base Bid will be received for: A single lump sum bid for All Work. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing31 wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements Parking available in building surface parking lot. Scope of Work. The MEP Subcontractor scope of work is identical to the General Prime Contractor scope of work included in these bidding and contract documents. By submitting and signing a bid, all bidders have examined all of the Bidding Documents listed in the Table of Contents of the project specifications. The successful bidders will be required to do all work which is shown on the drawings, mentioned in the specifications, or reasonably implied as necessary to complete the division of work bid for this project.
