Sister Cities Garden- Demolition, Utility Installation, and Mass Excavation

This project is also for the demolition, utility installation and mass excavation for the Sister Cities Garden to be located on the east side of the Monon Trail, north of Carmel Drive and south of City Hall. The project consists of demolition of 4 buildings and all associated utility connections. All surface improvements will be removed and mass excavation of a new detention pond will be part of the project. All excess material will be exported to approved locations. The project will install approximately 369 LFT of 24” RCP, 450 LFT of 30” RCP, 89 LF of 36” RCP and 9 manholes to serve as an outlet for the new detention pond and will require installation under Carmel Drive. A diversion berm will be constructed within the Monon Ditch at the downstream end of the maintenance ditch dredging. The project will install approximately 111 LFT of 42” RCP and 27 LFT of 12”X36” Box Culvert as part of the diversion structure and inlet to the new detention pond. Approximately 55 LFT of 6” HDPE will be installed to reroute the outlet of the existing Kawachinagano Japanese Garden pond to the new detention pond.
