Description

VSEB Participation Goal: $10% a) The Contractor shall supply and install ten (10) generator automatic transfer switches (ATS) for existing generators at the lift station listed below. The purpose for the ATS is to provide automatic generator start during power outages at city lift stations to prevent sewer spills. The ATS must transfer electric power back to utility automatically when utility power is restored and shut the generator down. ATS units will be installed at existing lift stations with diesel generators currently utilizing manual transfer switches. Existing receptacles, emergency breakers, or external switches will remain in the event a portable generator is needed at these locations. b) Contractor shall provide concrete pads or racks where required. c) Installations will include conduit and suitable copper wiring between, utility disconnect, genset to ATS, and customer control panel. d) Contractor shall obtain any required permits and include costs in bid. e) Contractor shall configure generator controller and ATS for automatic switch operation. f) Each ATS must be installed in compliance with current local and national electric codes.
