Dupont Tract Road Repair and Replacement Project

This Project is solicited by MDEQ as part of the Wolf River Coastal Preserve Habitat Management - Dupont Tract and Bells Ferry Tract Project. The Project is administered by MDEQ and funded through the Mississippi Trustee Implementation Group Final Restoration Plan II/Environmental Assessment : Wetlands, Coastal, and Nearshore Habitats and Oysters (RPII/EA) to partially address the injuries caused by the spill pursuant to and in accordance with the Oil Pollution Act and the Consent Decree entered in United States v. BPXP et al., Civ. No 10-4536, centralized in MDL 2179, In re; Oil Spill by the Oil Rig "Deepwater Horizon" in the Gulf of Mexico on April 20, 2010 (E.D La,.) on April 4, 2016 The Project includes the construction of a 12-foot-wide gravel roadway within an existing 25-foot-wide dirt right-of-way approximately 12,000 linear feet in length through the Wolf River Coastal Preserve DuPont Tract. Depressions in the roadway will be repaired back to original grade with suitable existing fill materials or #4 stone as specified. Swales will be constructed on either side of roadway to accommodate natural drainage patterns. Three existing concrete low-water crossings will be repaired/cleaned out and one new concrete low-water crossing will be constructed. Two existing culverts will be repaired/cleaned out.
