Description | The project consists of a comprehensive regional initiative to consolidate treatment of four (4) municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) in Wayne County, New York. The four communities involved in the consolidation efforts are the Town of Marion, Town of Macedon, Village of Palmyra and Town of Walworth. The project consists of constructing pump stations at Marion, Macedon and Walworth treatment plants. The work generally includes: demolition of wastewater treatment plant structures, demolition of below grade pipes and utilities, mechanical demolition, decommission-ing of WWTPs, site construction, fencing, drainage, site grading, asphalt paving, concrete/masonry tankage and building construction, equipment installation and process piping, electrical construction, plumbing construc-tion, HVAC construction, Instrumentation and Controls for an overall Su-pervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for the integra-tion of the remote pump stations with the proposed WWTP system. Forcemains from each of the pump stations will be constructed convey-ing raw wastewater to the new Regional WWTP in Palmyra, NY. The work generally includes: Construction of forcemains at varying sizes from 8-inch to 24-inch piping, forcemain vault structures, air release vaults and other ancillary forcemain components. Miscellaneous Site improvements including fencing, drainage, site grading and asphalt paving. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bid-ding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Bidding Documents may be examined at the offices of MRB Group (The Culver Road Armory, 145 Culver Road, Suite 160, Rochester, N.Y. 14620), and the Wayne County Water and Sewer Authority (3377 Daansen Road, Wal-worth, New York 14568), on Mondays through Fridays be-tween the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM. Bidding Documents will not be available from MRB Group or the Owner. The Wayne County Water and Sewer Authority, Wayne County, New York, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bid-der. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award. Attention of the bidders is particularly directed to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the Contract. The Wayne County Water and Sewer Authority does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its programs and activities. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
