Lead Service Line Replacement Project - 2020 (Utility Owned Side Only)

This project involves the trenchless replacement of 1,250 lead service lines on the utility-side, which includes lead pipes and galvanized steel pipes, in Trenton Water Works’ Service Area (including the City of Trenton and the Townships of Ewing, Hamilton and Lawrence) from the water main in the street to the curb stop. Replacement will only be performed when the homeowner-side of the service line is not galvanized steel or lead. Work to include test pits; excavation; removal or abandonment of existing service line; installation of copper service lines, new curb stops, and, in some instances, new corporation stops; testing; flushing; backfill; soil erosion and sediment control; traffic control; housekeeping, full restoration of existing conditions including landscaping, sidewalks, curbs, paving, striping.
