Description

A. The existing lift station is a Smith and Loveless above-grade package lift station that is no longer functioning, and the scope of work is an all-encompassing complete replacement of pumps with submersible pumps, a stainless steel control panel, valves, piping, wiring between pumps and control panel, and ALL associated appurtenances per the City of Flagler Beach minimum design standards and per the Contract Documents. B. Bypass pumping: 1. Lift station is currently being bypass pumped by the City and the City will maintain bypass pumping until the Contractor commences their rehabilitation work inside the wet well. 2. Once work commences, the bypass pump set up shall plug the two (2) gravity sewer mains entering the wet well at two (2) separate manholes. The manholes are approximately 40’ and 420’ away from the wet well. Two (2) bypass pumps and two (2) back up pumps are expected. 3. The Contractor selected bypass pumps must be able to pump at a rate of 80 gpm. The estimated non-rain event flows are 6,000 gpd which are subject to change during/after rain events and the increase of vacationers. The flow rate is only an estimate and subject to Contractor verification.
